Network Connectivity

Amadeus Vista is accessible via both the public Internet and Amadeus dedicated IP connectivity. Amadeus dedicated IP connectivity provides the users guaranteed performance (faster response time) and reliability. As local performance of Internet connectivity varies, we strongly suggest you evaluate the connectivity, as well as ISP service levels, before deploying Vista.

Regarding Internet connectivity:

  • No permanent IP address is needed.
  • HTTP (port 80) and SSL (port 443) must be supported.
  • Proxies can be used (but are not mandatory), provided that connections on the above
        ports are possible.
  • The list of URLs that must be reachable is provided in the Installation Guide.

    Printing an AIR Transfer - Amadeus Pro Printer

    The Amadeus Pro Printer product is required on Amadeus Vista platform in order to provide the following functionality:
    - Document printing (Itinerary, Invoice...)
    - Ticket printing (Central Ticketing on ATB1, ATB2, OPTAT, and OPTAT-2 way printers)
    - Back-office AIR transfer
